1. DOST, Dept. of Science & Technology, has many
scholarships available for BS-MS, MS, and PhD.
Deadline is Sept. 14, 2007. See the 8/26/07 issues of
Manila Bulletin and Phil. Star or go to their
web-site: wwww.sei.dost.gov.ph . They are for the
second semester of 2007-8.

2. Samahang Pisika ng Pilipinas, SPP, will hold their
annual Congress at UP, Los Baños, Laguna, Wed-Fri,
Oct. 24-26 for physicists and college and high school
physics teachers. See the web-site:
www.spp-online.org for details. Start arranging now
with your school to help cover costs from their
faculty-development funds or from the Partent-Teacher
Association.
